Tenth Day of Christmas: Matchbook Charm

We are so thrilled to feature this project by Tammy Wark. She is part of our group of very talented design team members and when we saw this darling charm and card we pleaded with her to provide you with instructions on how you could create this darling gift set. Tammy has many great ideas on her blog too!

UPDATE: Just learned that Tammy is giving one of these cute Matchbook/Charms away. Leave a comment on "her" blog and win!
Matchbook Tutorial
1. Cut 1 Lightweight piece of chipboard and 1 piece of coloured cardstock in the same dimensions 3 inches x 6 3/4 inches.

2. Adhere chipboard and cardstock together and allow to dry if necessary.

3. Score chipboard/cardstock at 1/4 inch, 3/4 inch, and 3 3/4 inches.

4. Fold on score lines and place a strip of sticky tape on the 1/4 in fold. Adhere 1/4 inch fold and 3 3/4 inch fold together making a triangle.

5. Cut a white piece of cardstock to the dimensions of 3 inches x 7 3/8 inches.

6. Score the cardstock at 3/4 inches, 3 3/4 inches and 4 3/4 inches.

7. Fold on score lines and attach to triangle chipboard/cardstock on the backside and bottom 3/4 inch piece only.

8. Attach ribbon to the back of the matchbook holder using sticky tape and wrap around to the inside of the holder to hold your charm.

9. Embellish front cover as desired

Glass Tile Charm Tutorial
1. Choose an image from either scrapbook paper, or one of your personal photos that fits your glass tile.
2. Apply Diamond glaze over the textured side of the glass, place image on the textured side of the glass so you can see the image through the non textured side of glass. Work out air bubbles by applying pressure. Let Dry.
3. Trim any excess paper off with scissors.
4. If your paper is not 2 sided or if you do not like the image on the reverse, use any metallic looking paper stock for the backing of the pendant by applying a thin layer of Diamond Glaze or Mod Podge over the back of the paper or photo you used for the pendant. Apply the metallic paper to the back of your pendant. Let Dry.
5. Apply diamond glaze to the back of the glass pendant to protect it and give it a glossy look. You may also use any sealant that dries clear (it does not have to be diamond glaze.)
6. Attach a stainless steel bail with crazy glue, to the back of pendant. Let dry.
7. Enjoy wearing and getting nice compliments on your unique creation.

iSpy: Candy Covered i-top Brads

I came across this darling card made with the Polar Expressions line that the i-top brads were covered with candy wrappers and I had to share this "sweet" idea. What better way to scrapbook then to eat the candy and use the wrappers!!

Ninth Day of Christmas: Card Ideas

We had so much fun showing off the creations of our very talented design team that we decided to collect some of their card designs and post them here. Because if you're like me, you have not "given up" on the idea of making your cards still for this year (it's NOT too late).

Pay close attention to the cards that were created using the i-top Tool!!
